And let us pray for the cardinals who will soon be electing a new pope, that the Holy Spirit may help them choose another excellent shepherd to guide the Church in this difficult time. |

Bishop Anthony B. Taylor will ordain Deacon Joel Brackett to the priesthood at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31 at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock. A reception will follow in McDonald Hall. All are invited to attend. A holy hour to pray for Brackett will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 30 at the Cathedral. During this time of eucharistic adoration and vespers, prayers will be offered for him and an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Applications are now being accepted for Search #156. It will be held at St. John Catholic Center in Little Rock June 27-29. Search is a faith formation program for high school juniors and seniors designed to help them get to know themselves better, deepen their relationship with Christ and find support in living out their faith in the world. The summer Search weekend is open to incoming juniors and seniors and recently graduated seniors. The fee to attend is $150 per person. Scholarships are available. The Catholic Charities Summer Institute (C²SI) will be held July 14-18 at St. John Catholic Center in Little Rock. This event is open to rising high school freshmen through recent high school graduates who seek to not only learn about the Church's social teachings but to put them into action.
