Bishop Taylor Homilies

Pope Francis Memorial Mass 2025
Let us pray for Pope Francis, that God would be merciful to him as he was to us, forgive his sins and welcome him into heaven. And let us pray for the cardinals who will soon be electing a new pope, that the Holy Spirit may help them choose another excellent shepherd to guide the Church in this difficult time.
Ash Wednesday 2025
Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return, but also remember that you have been saved by Jesus and to heaven you shall ascend.
25th Anniversary of Perpetual Adoration in Benton
If God knows everything, why do we have to ask him for what we need?

May crowning honors Mary's royal office

In popular Catholic tradition, Mary's coronation in heaven is often reenacted during the month of Mary in May crownings. Typically children, often those who recently received their first holy Communion, carry roses and place them at the feet of a statue of Mary while placing a crown of roses on top of Mary's head. There are also numerous songs, poetry, artworks and prayers depicting Mary's queenship. Many Catholic parishes and schools in Arkansas observe this tradition in the first week of May. Contact a school or parish directly to see if this event is being held in your area. More
